The beautiful Village of Milford downtown  is just two blocks from the Bell Tower.   With a population of just over 6,000, downtown offers over 30 restaurants, and over 30 shopping experiences, including the new brewery located on the banks of the Huron River.   With numerous events each year, the Village is vibrant community with opportunities to connect and contribute.   The YMCA facilities, located at the trailhead to the Milford bike and walking trail, provide exercise and community options for the entire family.   The Milford Trail connects with extensive biking tails through Kensington Metropark and Island Lake State Recreation Area, and the off-road bike trails in Highland Recreation Area are nationally known.   Bike lanes are located  throughout the Village making it one of the most bike friendly communities in the state.

The Village is surrounded by parks and recreational opportunities, including Kensington Metropark, Island Lake Recreation Area, Proud Lake Recreation Area, and Highland Recreation Area, all of which are within 10 minutes drive.  Downtown's Central Park is located on the Huron River, which offers canoeing and fly-fishing.
